Give Emergency Responders the Right of Way

828 × 640

Every state has move over laws. States enact move over laws to encourage motorists to move over, slow down, or stop so that emergency responders can safely navigate the roads. Unfortunately, some responders are killed on their way to help others. The last thing you want on your conscience, or record, is the knowledge that someone died because of an accident on your part. Follow some key tips here at Stewart Toyota to help make our roads a safer place for everyone.

These move over laws exist for police officers, fire trucks, ambulances, and even tow truck drivers. Things can happen fast on the road, so when you hear a siren or see flashing lights, you’ll need to make a quick decision. Please pull over accordingly and wait until the emergency services has safely passed before returning to your lane to continue your trip.

Our dealership would like for you to spread the word about safety, and to continue to lead by example. Drive safe, and reach out to our team for more safety advice.
