Toyota Recognized as a Top 10 Change Company

Fortune magazine has named Toyota to its "Change the World List" for the second time in the last three years. The list honors those companies that are leading global innovation, solving our world's most important problems. Once again, Toyota finished in the top 10 of the 50 companies that made the list, ranking eighth.

Toyota also ranked highly on 2015's inaugural list, due to the company's successful hybrid vehicles. This year, Toyota earned praise for the company's strategy to use hydrogen to help reduce carbon emissions, including the mass market introduction of the Mirai hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. It's bears mentioning that companies are rarely considered for inclusion on the list two consecutive years.

In putting together their list, Fortune teamed with FSG, Professor Michael E. Porter of Harvard Business School, and the Shared Value Initiative. Companies are evaluated and ranked based on three factors: business results, measurable social impact and their degree of innovation; the top 50 companies are then selected by Fortune based upon the magazine's reporting and analysis.

At Stewart Toyota, we're proud to be associated with an organization that's dedicated to improving our world.
