Welcome to Stewart Motor Company located in the downtown area of Corsicana,Texas. We are a family owned and operated dealership that has been serving the surrounding communities for 68 years.
Stewart Motor Company was opened in 1939 as an Oldsmobile dealership by Ferma C. Stewart. His brother Maco Stewart made it a joint venture in 1952 and shortly after added the Buick, Cadillac and Pontiac franchises. Maco's son Paul began the second generation partnership in 1972. Ferma and Maco retired in 1983 and sold the business to Paul Stewart and Don Bowen. The GMC line was added in 1987 marking yet another era the history of the dealership. Then in 1990, Paul and Don brought on board the Toyota line up.
Paul's son, Brent, became the third generation to take up part of the responsibilities in 2001.
In 2005 Don Bowen retired and sold his interest in the company to Paul Stewart.
January 2006 marked yet another huge step for Stewart Motor Company when the entire GM inventory and franchise was sold off and Toyota became the focal point of the dealership.
Since then Toyota has surged forward in the industry and taken the automobile market to new levels with its inventory of safe, reliable and economical vehicles.
In April of 2007, Toyota did what no other manufacturer has been able to do since 1931 when they took the honors of being the No.1 manufacturer in the world for auto sales.
But, just like Toyota, Stewart Motor Company is dedicated to giving the utmost in customer service. This dealership has built it's reputation on the level of care that it gives its customers year after year after year.
